Reports of On-Line Registration Slow
There have been reports that the new FFA On-Line registration system
can be
been slow to respond at peak times, causing the registration session
to drop out and need to be restarted. All registrations
this year will be done on-line, even if you come to one of the
traditional sessions at the club, and for this reason the GBFC
Committee are recommending you perform your registration after hours
if possible, rather than at one of the sessions below. Note that the
registration sessions will still be on as shown below, even if the
system is slow:
- Saturday 04/02/2012 – 11:00AM to 2:00PM
- Wednesday 08/02/2012 – 6:30PM to 8:00PM
- Thursday 09/02/2012 – 6:30PM to 8:00PM
- Saturday 11/02/2012 – 11:00AM to 2:00PM
To register online go to the
My Football Club
website and click on "Register Now". Full details are available in the
Flyer. All
re-registering players should by now have received a letter in the post
with their FFA number and password, but if you're keen there's options on the
My Football Club
website to retrieve either/both your FFA number (or look on your
last years player card) and password. Alternatively contact the
registrars and they'll sort you out - go to the Club Information page for more details.
Registrations for new players and those who don't wish to register
on-line will be done through the sessions at Canberra Road. New players are asked to attend in the first hour of one of the above sessions.
Association Cracks Down on Late Registrations
On a darker note the Association is threatening to hold off registrations done in
the weeks approaching the first round - players will be allowed to register but if
registered within one or two weeks of the first round the player ID card may
not be available in time for the first match.
Players are asked to register early to avoid disappointment.
Orientation Schedule
Orientation week provides an opportunity for new teams to meet and get to know
eachother well before the first game. The 2012 Orientaton schedule is as follows:
- U6 Monday 13 Feb 5:00 – 5:45PM
- U7 Monday 13 Feb 6:00 – 6:45PM
- U8 Wednesday 15 Feb 5:30 – 6:15PM
- U9 Wednesday 15 Feb 6:30 – 7:15PM
- U10 Wednesday 15 Feb 6:30 – 7:15PM
- U11 Monday 13 Feb 6:00 – 6:45PM
It is important that all players come to their orientation session.
General Committee Meeting
A general committee meeting will be held at Canberra road hall Wednesday
29th February, 6:45 for a 7:00PM start. All general committee and any
interested parties are asked to attend.
No Training at Jenola
The Sutherland Shire Hockey Association has reminded the football
community that training at Jenola is not allowed - this year they're
threatening to take down the number plates of vehicles seen
transporting players to and from that field.
You can read the letter if you like but
it'd be better if you just found somewhere else to train.
New O35 or O45 Team In 2012
We didn't quite get enough last year but we're thinking we'll try
again to form either an Over 45 (mens) team or a third O35 (mens) team in 2012. If you think you'd like to join, please
contact the registrars or send an email to webmaster @ gwawleybay.com
ASAP.
